Where does my donation go?
A minimum of 80% of your donation is directly used for emergency support, child protection measures, family strengthening programmes and safe care. The other 20% is used to keep our organisation healthy so we can keep supporting children and families in future emergencies.

Why focus on family strengthening when there are so many problems in the world?
Children who lack the care and protection of a loving family are missing not only love, comfort and confidence. They are at a far higher risk of the worst kinds of child rights violations, such as starvation, child labour, trafficking, abuse, kidnapping and recruitment by armed forces.
Children are especially vulnerable for these risks and for separation from their families during conflict, disaster and poverty.
Therefore SOS Children’s Villages supports families so children can grow up safe.
