SOS Children's Villages has been present in Lebanon since the mid-1960s, supporting children, young people and families. Our organisation continued its work through the civil war which affected the country between 1975 and 1990. Following the 2006 war between Israel and Lebanon, SOS Children's Villages extended its existing programmes to provide support, including psychosocial help, to children and families who had been traumatised by the armed conflict. The organisation is currently working in five locations throughout the country.

At present there are in the Lebanon four SOS Children’s Villages, three SOS Youth facilities, two SOS Kindergartens and three SOS Social Centres.
